Obituary of Mary Frances Escamilla

Mary Frances Escamilla, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on April 25, 2023, in Jackson, CA at the age of 81. She was born on October 9, 1941, in Spiro, Oklahoma to Oble Thomas "Stonewall" and Allie (Winchester) Jackson. She lived in Jackson nearly her entire life and graduated from Jackson High School in 1959. In 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, Rich Escamilla, after dating for 4 years. Mary was an active member of the 18-30 Club, Jackson Band Boosters, and the Emblem Club. She was an Escrow Officer for Western Land Title Company for 23 years and then worked for Amador County in the Auditor-Controller's Office and the Human Resources Department for 15 years.

Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rich Escamilla of Jackson, CA; children, Brian Escamilla (Jodi) of Folsom, CA, Sean Escamilla (Jennifer) of Folsom, CA, and Cheryl Oneto (Scott) of Jackson, CA; grandchildren, Taylor Escamilla, Austin Escamilla, Benjamin Escamilla, Zachary Escamilla, and Taylor Holmes; sister, Lorene Olivarria (Raymond) of Jackson, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold, Edward, Finley, and Jimmie.

A celebration of life will be held at Daneri Mortuary on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's name to Amador STARS (amadorstars.org) or the Alzheimer's Association (http://act.alz.org/goto/Mary_Escamilla).
