I was so sorry to hear that Joyce had passed away. My dogs and I used to walk with her and Molly in the morning. She always carried treats for the dogs. In the afternoon when we walked my dogs would come to a grinding halt at Joyce's back fence if they heard her in her yard. She always made good on coming to the gate with treats for Dottie and Ted. Our neighborhood has been made less colorful with the passing of Joyce. She is missed. Please accept my condolences. Mary Byers

Joyce will be missed. We will miss the way her blue eyes lit up when she laughed; the image of her dogs running circles around her in the park tying her up in the 25' leash; catching her on our Nest cam shuffling to our door to drop off fruit; her intellectual take on neighbor happenings.. To know Joyce was to see her interact with babies. Joyce would turn child-like, giddy. There would be restrained laughter and, as it turned out, never enough time together. Joyce would have been a fabulous mother. Instead, she was a doting mother to her two fur babies, Mela and Meme. We always got a chuckle watching Joyce race her SUV down Hintze Avenue, dogs in the back seat with their heads out the window, ears flapping in the wind! Joyce's character has now been subtracted from our neighborhood. We feel her absence. There are enough memories, enough stories, to keep her close. See you on the other side, sweetie. Love, Charlie & Sunita Vidal
