Obituary of Steve Ira Armstrong

Steve Ira Armstrong passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 in Jackson, CA at the age of 80 years old. He was born in Sacramento, CA on August 19, 1942, a son of the late Twyla Benjamina (Briggs) and Stanley D Armstrong. The chief of mean hotcakes and master of catchphrases, Steve would walk into any room with his cheerful smile and "still kicking and wiggling," lighting up the room. Driving was his specialty, and he knew every great stop around the Mother Lode. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Steve will be missed by many. As he would say, "A good time was had by all." Steve is survived by four daughters, Jeannie Armstrong of Ione, CA, Pauline, wife of Eddie Santinelli of Drytown, CA, Brenda, wife of Michael Hay of Heald AFB, UT, and Sarah, wife of Josh Garner of Jackson, CA; three sons Steve Armstrong, Jr of Plymouth, CA, David, husband of Nicole Armstrong of Jackson, CA, and Stanley, husband of Jeanelle Armstrong of Sacramento, CA; Steve is also survived by a sister, Karen Harelson of Granite Bay, CA; a brother, Don Armstrong of Granite Bay, CA. As well as grandchildren, Douglas, Dustin, Lauren, Emma, Eli, Elliana, Allison, Esmae, Liam; and great grandson, Revan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Theresa" Armstrong in 2007. Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, CA. With a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Jackson Catholic Cemetery, Jackson, CA. Contributions can be made in Steve's name to American Heritage Hospice at1837 Iron Point Rd. Folsom, CA 95630.
